Schopenhauer was one of my favourites....
Blogging and planning are completely different, we're under no illusions there. It's like philosophy. When I was doing my degree, our seminars weren't philosophy at all, like blogging isn't planning. They were a combination of arguing, throwing half-arsed ideas around, falling asleep maybe and general confusion. The real philosophy was what we were supposed to come up with after the shouting and the ideas-generation (and after we'd read a zillion books ofcourse!).
Real planning is what you do after that same crazed haze of ideas, insights and arguments, where you pare it all down to something formulaic and workable. You're not really told how to do it I don't think, it just flows from the previous thinking. Like philosophy, it just is, and whatever I wrote in my degree did just flow from something that mattered.
Bad philosophy, like bad planning, is incoherent crap, probably based on nothing more than personal whim.
Bad philosophy joke of the day - Strawson, son of a straw man - completely not funny!
(P.S. Schopenhauer over Nietzsche anyday! Got to love that pessimism)
(P.P.S. Apologies for the complete incoherence! It's been a long three weeks!)
