BBBroadcast Brand Building
I know the PG Tips hype was 'so last month' and everything, possibly many moons ago infact, but I do love a bit of brand-building! Mother's latest offerings for PG Tips really highlights how important consumer memory is to brand building and communications in general. Consumers want to be in control and work things out for themselves and this offering really let them be the judge and jury, very smart and very brave!
And it is in the fact that this campaign would only have worked on TV, that it needed broadcast, that really grabbed me. TV has a fantastical way of putting images on top of one another and creating a story, a history, a brand credibility and heritage. This is why I loathe the thought of 'the death of the 30 second TV ad'...what are you saying?! If TV wants to survive the digital onslaught, beauts like this one won't go amiss! All hail the mnemonic!
